AFAIU, the resize option for the pre-processing of images does rescale the x and y dimension independently. This implies that if the images don’t the same heights to width ratio some will be distorted. Would it be possible to add the option of “global” rescaling ? That means only rescale according to the biggest mesure (height or width) and pad with zeros for the missing pixel in the image.
Yes. It is possible and seems like it will be useful as images are generally not of the same dimensions/ratio.
